To whom it may concern:

It is our pleasure to write about OOO to apply for the medical school in your prestigious university. OOO participated in the World Creativity Olympiad in 2015 and achieved an excellent result as World 2nd. 

Through this recommendation letter, we would like to introduce her efforts and service as a Sp-ark team member, which we discovered through this Olympiad. 

The World Creativity Olympiad is sponsored by NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) and is held every year in the United States. The official name of this tournament is Odyssey of the Mind World Finals, and its abbreviation is OM.

In 2015, each team started with the process of selecting representatives from Korea. The domestic competition in Korea was announced on November 13, 2014, and was held on February 26, 2015 at Yonsei University. In this competition, a long term problem, a style problem, and a spontaneous problem were presented to the students, and the students had to creatively produce demonstration for these problems through team collaboration for a given time. The Sp-ark team, to which OOO belonged, consisted of 6 students, and was awarded “Ranatra Fusca Award”, gaining the right to advance to the World Creativity Olympiad.

OOO served as a key member from November 2014 to May 2015 and led the team with sincerity and friendliness from beginning to end. There were many difficulties in the 7 months of practice between team members, and some team members gave up in the middle, and then someone had to digest the missing role. 

In addition, when a new member came in, it was necessary to inform this member of the existing role. 

Through this collaboration, the team had to demonstrate the overall performance again. 

Therefore, each team member took turns taking on each other's roles, and each time Jinseo did her best in this role, filling in the gaps of the team members and being a great strength to the overall progress. 

In addition, OOO's smile and positive mind during the progress helped to bring the whole team to life. For young students, it was a new challenge they had never experienced before, and communication and understanding with each other were the most important factors.

About 1,000 teams from around the world, including 21 teams from Korea, participated in the international finals. A total of around 30,000 people including volunteers and parents participated in the Creativity Olympiad at Michigan State University. 

The Sp-ark team showed creativity with the theme of Silient Movie, which dealt with the story of a film director who produced and presented a silent film, and various incidents and accidents during the silent film production process were created and presented through performances.

OOO's overseas experience growing up in the United States since she was a child, and her bold presentation skills when presenting in front of a large number of people became the key driving force to save the team. 

Also, the spontaneous problem given in the field was a challenging problem. 

It was only possible to solve it by doing good teamwork in a short time, and even here, with good teamwork, it was excellently digested. 

OOO's leadership on new issues helped a lot to bring out the creative ideas of not only herself but also other students on the table, and her open mind was a great help to the teacher as a whole.

Various events were held such as the Opening Ceremony in the size of the Olympic Opening Ceremony, the Float and Banner parade in which each team weared their own costume, Pin Trading to become friends and friendship with global leaders, and the Creativity Festival for students to relax and enjoy. While participating in various events, all members of Sp-ark practiced as much as possible while reducing sleep. 

This team had a hard time when they couldn't express each other's creativity well, and sometimes tears were shed during repeated practice, and the team worked together. Indeed, it would be a difficult process to complete unless all things such as creativity, friendliness, leadership, and volunteerism were evenly fused. OOO's sincerity and positive attitude played a major role in inducing the students' serious attitude while maintaining the overall atmosphere.

In the end, the Sp-ark team won the World Ranking 2nd place. All the students, including the teacher, burst into tears in the huge cheers of the award ceremony in front of a huge number of people. OOO said, it was the first time she cried because she was so happy. In this process, we were able to feel OOO's sincerity, leadership, communication, a warm heart that knew how to be considerate of others, and a sense of character. Another good news was that the team was awarded a $3000 scholarship.

The World Creativity Olympiad would be a process that was not lacking in verifying OOO's leadership internationally, and OOO's communication skills to align with other students toward the goal, conscientiousness to serve teamwork, affinity that she showed while hanging out with other international students.
