I am pleased to write a letter of recommendation for OOO, the winner of the Odyssey of the Mind finals in Korea. Odyssey of the Mind is an international education program in which teams apply their creativity to solve problems ranging from building mechanical devices to interpreting literary classics. Thousands of teams worldwide have participated in the program over 40 years.

OOO was instrumental in forming the Odyssey of the Mind team for her school and led the team through Odyssey regional competitions. As a result, her team won a Silver Award in the Korea Odyssey of the Mind Olympiad and the Best Teamwork Award. They received a ticket to the 2023 Odyssey of the Mind World Finals as the representative of South Korea.

She is a student with great perseverance, resilience, and leadership. She demonstrated these qualities when her team‘s performance in the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals was jeopardized after one of her teammates contracted COVID-19. During this unforeseen challenge, OOO motivated herself and every team member to continue giving their best in preparing for the World Finals despite last-minute changes to their script and performance.

In addition, OOO‘s boundless creative strengths synergized with her skills as a composer and choreographer. Her musical numbers and choreographies were well interweaved with other factors in the play, leading to some of their productions' most mesmerizing and unforgettable moments. Moreover, throughout the preparation, among high school students, OOO presented a singular level of critical thinking, creativity, and wit.

OOO‘s leadership, perseverance, creativity, and versatility have received international recognition through an interdisciplinary process at the World Finals. We are honored to write this letter of recommendation for OOO. It was a marvelous journey to witness the cohesion and collaboration that OOO demonstrated while taking on various responsibilities under the guidance of the advisors for the competition. OOO is a dedicated, positive, creative, and versatile student with numerous qualities that would make her a promising candidate for your school community.
